- Clare Davies has spent most of her career in the Insurance sector in various senior leadership positions across Sales and Service, IT, Claims and Claims Supply Chain before joining Solus ARC at the start of 2024 as the Groups Chief Operating Officer. Having never fixed a car in her life joining a car repair organisation was a leap of faith for both Solus and her own career. In the 2 years that she has been with the organisation she has worked with the Senior Leadership team to help transition the organisation from a small bodyshop group to a thriving organisation that has operational responsibility for all of AVIVA’s repair across owned sites, its network partner and customers own choice repairers. The pull of Solus ARC was very much linked to the organisations drive to transform itself into an inclusive and diverse organisation that was clear in it’s purpose and focused on quality outcomes for customers. With the various industry challenges that the motor repair sector is facing into, the opportunity to be part of an organisation that seeks to champion early careers, apprenticeships and sustainability was very much aligned to her own values. As a leader of a large operational team she spends a lot of her time on the road, visiting her teams and really getting an understanding of how the business is operating. This coupled with a hectic home life where she is mum to two teenage girls where she spends much of her free time standing at the side of the netball court makes for a very busy life.
